The Haunted America Conference --- Returns in 2008!

The American Ghost Society's 12th Annual Haunted America Conference will be held over the weekend of June 20-21 in Decatur, Illinois --- the most haunted small city in the Midwest! This wonderful annual event is the "original ghost conference" and while it's often imitated, it's never equaled! This year's conference will again feature nationally known authors and speakers on ghosts and the supernatural and will be returning to our favorite location --- the very haunted Lincoln Theater in Decatur! It's going to be an amazing year with ghost tours, new and favorite after-hours events, new speakers & much more!

Return with us to the haunted Lincoln Theater and experience this spooky, and very haunted, place for yourself and spend the weekend taking part in lectures and workshops on ghosts and ghost hunting; presentations on paranormal phenomena and investigating the unknown; discussions and questions & answer periods; haunted locations; workshops; real-life séances; ghost tours & late-night investigations; and much more!

This year is our 12th Annual Conference and, as with each year, will give attendees the chance to gather information about ghosts, hauntings and the unexplained that you won't hear anywhere else; meet other ghost enthusiasts from around the country; network and compare notes with other investigators; and to visit Decatur, Illinois, " the most haunted small city in the Midwest". You don't want to miss this --- there's a reason that it's the longest running ghost conference in the country!

What really happened in this enigmatic case and how much of the mysterious story -- about the spirit of a dead girl invading the body of a living one -- is truth and how much is fiction? This common-sense guide to ghost hunting focuses not on the best ways to get authentic evidence of the paranormal, but on the ways that so many ghost hunters manage to bungle their investigations, contaminate their evidence and destroy their reputations. It's a must-see presentation on what not to do!

About the Ghost Divas: The Ghost Divas, while often lightning rods for controversy (and we wouldn't want it any other way!), have almost 20 years of combined experience when it comes to investigating the supernatural. Tammy and Tonya have a refreshing no-nonsense approach when it comes to ghost research and have spent countless hours in the paranormal field. Together as the Ghost Divas, the women decided it was time to start speaking about the nonsensical information that was plaguing the paranormal investigative field and have become insightful commentators for the field of ghost hunting. In addition to the Ghost Divas, Tonya is also the founder of GHOULI (Ghost Haunts of Oklahoma and Urban Legend Investigations) and hosts events throughout the state. Tammy is the founder of Eerie Oklahoma and conducts historical tours of local ghost towns and is the chairperson for the Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center's oral history program called Voices of the Cherokee Strip.
