| The Haunted
America Conference --- Returns in 2008!
The
American Ghost Society's
12th Annual Haunted
America
Conference will be held over the weekend
of June 20-21 in Decatur, Illinois
--- the most haunted small city in the Midwest! This
wonderful annual event is the "original ghost
conference" and while it's often imitated, it's
never equaled! This year's conference will again
feature nationally known authors and speakers on
ghosts and the supernatural and will be returning to
our favorite
location --- the very haunted
Lincoln Theater in Decatur! It's
going to be an amazing year with ghost tours, new and favorite after-hours events, new speakers &
much more! This year is our 12th Annual Conference and, as with each year, will give attendees the chance to gather information about ghosts, hauntings and the unexplained that you won't hear anywhere else; meet other ghost enthusiasts from around the country; network and compare notes with other investigators; and to visit Decatur, Illinois, " the most haunted small city in the Midwest". You don't want to miss this --- there's a reason that it's the longest running ghost conference in the country! Admission Remains at the 1997 Price:
$50 Per Person

Séance with Ken Berg About Ken Berg: Ken is a co-owner of the Weird Chicago Tours, a professional psychic, an expert on the occult & supernatural and widely known authority on Chicago's secret places. He has been a bouncer, a medic in the Air Force and the owner of an occult bookstore. Ken has also worked as a psychic detective with law enforcement agencies all over the country. Since 1987, he has assisted with the conviction of 17 murder suspects. At this year's conference: Ken will be hosting the After-Hours Séance on Friday night and offering psychic readings to attendees. A sign up sheet for readings will be available in the lobby during the event.

She writes regularly for TAPS Paramagazine, FATE magazine and the Paranormal Insider blog and has appeared in many other books and articles on the paranormal. 11:30 - 12:45 PM: Lunch Break About Dusty Smith: Dusty Smith is the president of the Daytona Beach Paranormal Research Group, Inc. which has been working cases all over the south east since 1997. She is the president of The International Association of Cemetery Preservationists, Inc. a nonprofit corporation that adopts, restores & preserves abandoned and neglected cemeteries. She is the owner & chief tour guide for Haunts of the World’s Most Famous Beach ghost tours (Daytona Beach, Florida) and has authored over 40 titles on the paranormal and cemetery preservation including her latest book, Haunted Daytona Beach. She is the editor for Raven’s Loch Publishing House and Ankou: The Official Digest of The IACP, Inc. and owns Grave Appeal; the first grave site maintenance company in Florida.
2:15 - 2:30 PM: Break About the Ghost Divas: The Ghost Divas, while often lightning rods for controversy (and we wouldn't want it any other way!), have almost 20 years of combined experience when it comes to investigating the supernatural. Tammy and Tonya have a refreshing no-nonsense approach when it comes to ghost research and have spent countless hours in the paranormal field. Together as the Ghost Divas, the women decided it was time to start speaking about the nonsensical information that was plaguing the paranormal investigative field and have become insightful commentators for the field of ghost hunting. In addition to the Ghost Divas, Tonya is also the founder of GHOULI (Ghost Haunts of Oklahoma and Urban Legend Investigations) and hosts events throughout the state. Tammy is the founder of Eerie Oklahoma and conducts historical tours of local ghost towns and is the chairperson for the Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center's oral history program called Voices of the Cherokee Strip.
3:30 - 3:45
PM: Break About Patrick Burns: Patrick is best known as the paranormal investigator on Court TV's hit series "Haunting Evidence", but was no stranger to the media prior; having been featured on CNN and an Emmy award winning documentary for TBS, among numerous other appearances. He is also the founder and director of Ghost Hounds in Georgia and GhoStock, the popular annual event. Patrick is a veteran both in front of and behind the camera lens. A videographer in his own right, his "one man band" self-produced video production entitled "Haunted" has won him acclaim from his peers in the paranormal field and a nomination from Ghost Convention International for "best documentary". He resides with his wife Pamela and two sons near Atlanta Georgia. AFTER HOURS EVENTS FOR SATURDAY
